Portrait of Peter Klein

My background is technical. I started in software development and networking, moved into complex enterprise environments and customer solutions at Cisco and TDC, and later into product management and commercial development. I enjoy work that connects technical understanding with customer needs and with products and services that can be delivered in practice.

Career & roles

May 2025 – October 2026

Mividas Video Solutions

Partner Director / Commercial Director · Consulting assignment

At Mividas, I worked on international partnerships, customer engagement and commercial development of secure video communications solutions, with Pexip as a key partner. An important part of the work involved understanding requirements in regulated and security-sensitive environments, including the defence and justice sectors, where control over information, operations and integration is essential.

Responsibilities included discovery, offer development, pricing, go-to-market and support for international partner and sales organisations. I also worked hands-on with integration and prototypes to explore new possibilities for existing products.

2017–2025

Tele2

Senior Product Manager

At Tele2, I managed products and services across enterprise communications, IP telephony, video and digital collaboration. A major initiative was Tele2 Samarbete, where I was the concept owner and project lead from the early idea through to launch. The service was developed for organisations with high requirements for information security, data sovereignty and customer-controlled environments, including control over data and operations.

I also worked with Microsoft Teams Phone and led Tele2’s introduction and launch of Operator Connect. The work included hands-on administration in Teams Admin Center and end-user training materials. Within Modern Workplace, I also worked with Microsoft Teams Rooms, standardised meeting rooms and technical choices between collaboration platforms.

Throughout, the work connected customer and business needs with technical possibilities, product development and commercialisation, packaging, pricing and delivery.

2004–2017

TDC Sweden

Systems Engineer → Senior Technical Specialist → Product Manager

I began in solution design, technical presales, Cisco Unified Communications and advanced troubleshooting before moving into product management. I developed and launched TDC Video, turning technical capabilities into a service that could be sold, delivered and evolved.

2000–2003

Cisco Systems

Consulting Systems Engineer

Customer-facing technical presales and solution architecture for large enterprises and service providers in Northern Europe. The work covered IP networks, routing and switching, MPLS, security and early IP telephony, alongside technical evaluations and customer and partner discussions.

1996–1999

Dotcom

Presales Engineer / Network Solutions Engineer

Enterprise network design, implementation and technical presales. One early project was the network at Sunderby Hospital, where availability requirements shaped the architecture, testing and rollout.

1991–1996

Erisoft

Software Developer / Unix Administrator

C/C++ development and Unix systems administration provided a technical foundation that has stayed relevant across networking, integration and product development.

Three projects that show the range

Tele2 Samarbete – from customer need to launch

Tele2 Samarbete started with a customer requirement: organisations needed greater control of their communications and data. I developed the initiative from concept and prototype through business case, product planning, delivery and launch, followed by continued customer engagement. The work brought technology, security, legal, operations, marketing and sales together around one offer.

TDC Video – turning technology into a service

At TDC, I moved from technical specialist work to developing and launching a video service. The project required architecture, operational delivery, partnerships, packaging and customer needs to align. TDC Video later became part of Tele2's offering.

Mividas and Pexip – from technology to international partner business

Pexip was a key route to international customers for Mividas. My role was to develop the partnership and help Pexip’s sales organisation identify business opportunities and sell Mividas solutions. I worked on joint market development, packaging, pricing and business models, sales support and partner training, including training for Pexip’s US public-sector sales team.

Direct work with customers and partners across different markets was another important part of the role. Discussions with organisations in sectors including defence and justice focused on understanding operational requirements, finding workable solutions and addressing both technical and commercial obstacles. I acted as a bridge between customers, Pexip’s sales organisation and Mividas product development, helping turn market insights into clearer offers and priorities for further development.

Applied AI, prototypes & adoption

In recent years, I have developed my practical AI skills through both education and building my own solutions.

My work includes connecting AI agents to external systems through APIs and MCP (Model Context Protocol), building integrations with Python and automation workflows with n8n, and exploring document-based AI search using RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).

Examples include an MCP server integrating with Mividas APIs, a voice agent built with ElevenLabs that can retrieve meeting information and support meeting booking through natural conversation, and an AI assistant retrieving information from documents through a search API.

Alongside the technical work, I have also studied the organizational side of AI adoption through the university course Leading Change: Accelerating AI Adoption. My final paper, From AI Shame to AI Professionalism, explored how workplace culture, professional identity and unclear expectations can become barriers to AI adoption, and how leaders can help establish shared norms for responsible AI use. I am also expanding this perspective through studies in AI governance at Jönköping University.

These perspectives complement each other. Building and testing AI solutions helps me understand what the technology can do, while studying adoption, governance and organizational change helps me understand what it takes to turn those capabilities into practical value, with people, quality and accountability in mind.
